Assalamu alaykum. My name is Saima and I have a very close friend, who does not pray regularly, and when I gently remind her, she says that she is too lazy. Please, help me get her out of this self-pity mode.
Dear Saima, your friend has a priceless treasure and blessing, which is a friend like you who worries about her. Your worries about her are not just revolving around worldly needs – you are also thinking about her Akhirah.
Prophet Muhammad (sa) said: “Salah is the key to Jannah.”
When we wish to contact our friends or family, we dial phone numbers. We all know that if there is an error of even one digit in the phone number, we cannot contact them – the call will not get through.
Similarly, the key for opening the doors of Jannah has five teeth, which is the number of our daily Salah. What happens if even just one tooth of the five is missing? The door will not open!
