Crispy Wonton Soup

Ingredients:

  • 6 cups stock
  • 4 mushrooms
  • 1 cup cabbage
  • 1 piece ginger
  • 2 spring onions
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp dark soya sauce
  • 1/2 tsp sesame oil

Ingredients for Wonton:

  • 4 Samosa strips
  • 100 gm chicken mince
  • 1/4 tsp onion (chopped)
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • oil for frying

Method:

  1. Put 6 cups stock in pan and let it cook till it starts boiling.
  2. Now add 1 cup cabbage, 1 piece of ginger, 4 mushrooms, 2 spring onions, 1/2 tsp black pepper, 1/2 tsp salt, 2 tbsp soya sauce and 1/2 tsp sesame oil, mix well and turn the flame off.

Method for wontons:

  1. Mix together 100 gm chicken mince, 1 tbsp chopped onion, 1/4 tsp salt and 1/4 tsp black pepper.
  2.  Cut samosa strips* in squares, fill with prepared filling mixture. Cover, seal with oil and fry in hot oil till its colour turns to golden brown.
